Terminator Terminated

The Terminator series has had more than its share of ups and downs. It holds the perfect answer to the question “name a sequel better than the original” but since then has been, well, in my opinion not that good. Being that Genisys earned poorly and was widely panned, I don’t think anyone is surprised my this news. More interesting is that it gets a little closer to James Cameron getting the rights back. Now don’t get me wrong, a 2020 Cameron directed Terminator movies is not a guaranteed home run by any means, but I’d give it a go. Furthermore, if it helps limit the number of Avatar sequels, even better.

According The Hollywood Reporter and others Paramount as replace the film with Baywatch on its schedule. And though these two movies have just about nothing in common. That said, it is The Rock knocking out Arnold. I think this is a win for all involved, and a good move by paramount.

  1. This is unfortunate. As I believe Genisys to be the most under-rated move of 2015. However sending the rights back to JC and waiting for that movie, if there ever is one, is sure to be better. Of course Arnold will be way too old by then to play the Terminator.
